Using DealZap
General rules that apply to everyone using the DealZap platform, whether you're a free member, paid subscriber, or just browsing.

Who we are
DealZap is operated by Khonsu Consulting Limited, a company registered in Guernsey, Channel Islands. When you use DealZap, you're entering into an agreement with us. If you have any questions, you can reach us at hello@dealzap.gg.

By using DealZap, you agree to these terms
Signing up for an account or using the platform means you've read and agreed to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use DealZap. We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time — we'll always let you know if anything material changes.

Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account details secure. Don't share your login or let someone else use your account — deals are one per person, and accounts are non-transferable. If you think someone else has accessed your account, let us know immediately.

You must be 18 or over
DealZap is for adults. By creating an account, you confirm you're 18 or older. Some deals may have their own age restrictions — these will be clearly stated in the deal details.

Don't misuse the platform
DealZap is for genuine deal-seekers, not bots, scalpers, or people trying to game the system. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account found to be abusing the platform, claiming deals fraudulently, or acting in a way that harms our partners or other members.

Our liability is limited
DealZap connects members with local businesses. We're not responsible for the quality of goods or services provided by our partners, and we can't guarantee that every deal will meet your expectations. We do our best to work with great businesses — but the experience itself is between you and the venue.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Guernsey, Channel Islands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Guernsey courts. We'd always rather sort things out directly though — email us first and we'll do our best to help.

Section B
Zap Terms
These are the deal-specific rules — how Zaps work, how to claim them, and what to do if something goes sideways. Our lawyers made us write this. We've never had to use most of it and we genuinely hope we never do.

If you Zap it, enjoy it — then shout about it
If you claim a deal and have a great time, please leave the venue a review. These are local businesses giving you something brilliant — a kind word online goes a long way. Good vibes only. 😊

Every Zap is first come, first served
When a deal drops, it's gone when it's gone. No queue jumping, no exceptions. If you snooze, you lose — but another Zap is always around the corner.

One Zap per person
Each deal is limited to one claim per DealZap member. Don't be that person.

Zaps come in different shapes and sizes
Some are percentage discounts, some are spend-and-save offers, some are flat freebies. The specific details — value, minimum spend, maximum discount, validity window — will always be clearly stated in the deal email.

Read the small print on each deal
Every Zap has its own conditions — valid days, valid times, specific menu items, minimum spend. Please check before you head out. Turning up on a Tuesday when the deal's only valid Wednesday to Friday won't end well for anyone, and the venue won't be able to honour it.

Didn't get the Zap? Please don't show up anyway
If a deal was fully claimed before you got there, it's gone. Please do not visit the venue expecting to redeem it — they won't be able to help, and it puts them in an awkward spot. Our partners are doing us a favour by running these deals. Let's not make it weird for them.

The "oh no, something went wrong" clause
In the unlikely event of a technical gremlin — say, a glitch that lets 500 people claim a deal meant for 20 — DealZap reserves the right to void any or all vouchers issued. We'd only ever use this if something genuinely broke. If it happens to you, we'll make it right with priority access to the next drop.

Use it or lose it
Vouchers must be presented at the point of purchase. Expired, forgotten, or screenshotted three weeks ago and never opened? Sorry, that one's on you.

No cash, no transfers
Zap vouchers have no cash value and can't be passed on, sold, or traded. They're yours and yours alone.

We reserve the right to pull a Zap
If a deal needs to be amended or withdrawn for any reason, we can do that. We'd rather not, but life happens.

DealZap is the middleman
The deal is with the partner business, not us. If you have an issue redeeming at the venue, talk to them first — but if you're stuck, we're always happy to help smooth things over.

Section C
Membership Terms
These terms cover your DealZap membership — how it works, what happens during your free trial, and how billing and cancellation operate.

What a DealZap membership gets you
A DealZap membership gives you access to exclusive deals from local Guernsey businesses. The features included in your membership are shown at checkout and may evolve over time — we'll always let you know if anything significant changes.

Your free trial
New members get a free trial period, the length of which is confirmed at the point of signup. To start your trial, you'll need to provide valid payment details — your card won't be charged until the trial ends. If you don't cancel before the trial period is up, your membership will automatically roll into a paid subscription and your card will be charged at the then-current monthly rate.

We'll remind you before you're charged
We'll send you an email before your free trial ends to remind you that billing is about to begin and what you'll be charged. We're not in the business of surprising people with unexpected charges — if something's changing on your account, you'll hear from us first.

Billing and renewals
Memberships are billed monthly on a recurring basis. Your billing date is set when your trial ends and your first payment is taken. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. Current pricing is shown at checkout and on your account page. We reserve the right to update pricing with at least 30 days' written notice — you'll always have the option to cancel before any price change takes effect.

Cancelling your membership
You can cancel your membership at any time from your account settings — no hoops, no phone calls, no guilt trips. If you cancel during your free trial, you won't be charged. If you cancel after billing has started, your membership remains active until the end of the current billing period. We don't offer partial-month refunds, but you'll keep access to everything you've paid for right up until it expires.

Refunds
If you believe you've been charged in error, get in touch at hello@dealzap.gg and we'll sort it out. We'll always do the right thing if something has gone wrong on our end. Outside of billing errors, monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

Failed payments
If a payment fails, we'll try again and let you know. If we're unable to collect payment after reasonable attempts, your membership may be paused or cancelled. You can update your payment details at any time from your account settings.

Changes to the membership
We may update these membership terms from time to time. If we make any material changes — particularly around billing or cancellation — we'll email you in advance. Continuing to use your membership after notice of changes means you're happy with them. If you're not, you can cancel before they kick in.
